Carlisle Hockey Club is delighted to announce that we have won the News & Star's Win Kit for Kids competition, securing £1,000 worth of sports equipment for the club.

The competition ran for five weeks, with supporters collecting and submitting tokens printed daily in the News & Star.

Thanks to the support of our members, families, friends and the wider community, Carlisle Hockey Club earned enough points to finish on top and claim the prize.

The new equipment will be a fantastic boost for the club, particularly for our growing junior section, helping us continue to provide opportunities for players of all ages to develop and enjoy hockey.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who collected tokens, dropped them into collection boxes, passed them on to Debs at Stanwix News, or helped spread the word throughout the competition. Your support made this achievement possible.

Winning the competition is a great result for the club, and we are extremely grateful to the News & Star for running the initiative and supporting grassroots sport across the region.

Thank you once again to everyone who got involved, we look forward to putting the new equipment to good use in the coming season.
