Stepping out of the shadows

Carlisle 3s have bravely stepped away from being a development team and are just the 3s but not just any team, this team is destined for greatness. Anna held the defensive line sending the ball wide so Lily and India can feed the ball forward. They were met with a strong defence from Wigton, the 3s persevered using all they had to keep Wigton at bay. Minnie and Maisie worked hard to support the defence and the attack all match long. Abbie was kept busy down the right with balls from Lily and Anna unfortunately one of the Wigton sticks collided with her leg #ouch .Abbie was out of action and no subs, after an ice pack she soldiered on supporting her team. Next was Emilie a hamstring injury was plaguing her and was becoming too much. Carlisle kept their heads up chancing the ball with some great tackles seeing them constantly winning the ball. Next was Olivia's arm as another stick swished past her arm the ice pack had not warmed up from the last injury but again with no subs. They rallied together showing what a great team they are. Many opportunities were made unfortunately Wigton, with subs, managed to find some gaps. Anastasia did an amazing job with some cracking saves but victory wasn't to be. This team should not be underestimated they have each team in their sights, watch out Cumbria League, watch out.
