Carlisle hosted Tynedale in their last home game of the season. After last weeks final minute equaliser, the Cumbrians were looking for 3 points going into their final game next Saturday against Stockton.

The numbers flocked in to see the Men's 1s put in a professional display against Tynedale. Carlisle started the game slightly off pace but started to grow as the first half went on. Some great defensive play once again from the backline gave Carlisle chances to press forward. The home side were able to convert from a short corner thanks to Lee Fearn who was able to slip the ball under the keeper from a Jamie Snaith drag. Tynedale started to keep possesion well and finished the half strong. Carlisle still had the one goal advantage going into the break.

The Cumbrians started the second half well and things were starting to click more than they did in the first. Some good ball movement provided space for the Carlisle attackers to exploit. Great work from Harry Harland and Andy Bradbury coming back into the side set up Carlisle with more goals that Jamie Snaith and Neil Blackburn x2 were able to convert. Credit to Tynedale who played some nice hockey and always stuck at it.

Carlisle move onto next week needing a win or draw to clinch top spot.

Next Fixture - Carlisle Men's 1s vs Stockon Men's 2s - (A) 12pm push.
