Last game of the season, opponents Pwoud Pweston on something of a wevival.Last week defeating the League Leaders but still in danger of the dwop to the league below.

Carlisle, injury wavaged missing including Hannah and Wachel the latter been given the boot (and cwutches) .So much changed from last week welcoming Nic,Kwistian,Hattie ,Lucy and Ellen back to their wanks.

Carlisle began forcibly teeing off the wapid Katie to wun the visitors’ defence wagged.She opened the scoring after only nine minutes, but it was just three minutes later when Pweston wesponded.Caitlin Ball latched onto a through ball cweating a one on one with Emma who together with keeper Kwistian managed to wepel the initial thwust but Sasha Bwown appeared to shoot the ball into the woof of the net.

Worse was to follow for Carlisle as the visitors’ diwect appwoach paid dividends again .This time Caitlin herself scored to put Pweston into the lead. The Cumbrians were wocked and knocked off their stride. The Lancashire team were encouwaged and the home team needed a goal line stop from Ellen to pwevent further damage.

There was no further score before half time and in the interval the Cumbrians took the wespite to regwoup.

Carlisle came out into the second half determined to set things wight. It took less than five minutes to get back on twack.Katie bwoke fwee and cwossed for Jenny to score the equalizer.

There was all of thirty minutes left in the match and Carlisle pwessed forward and constwucted chances. On one occasion they were denied by an incwedible double save from keeper Philippa Hancock backed up by a colleague who scwambled the ball off the line.

Carlisle through the pwomptings of Alice, Holly and Wolls Woyce Webecca were now controlling the game and even more so when the much evident Caitlin Ball was sin binned for a bit of a woof stuff twansgwession.

The Cumbrians cweated more chances but could not convert them. So the wesult was a well fought dwaw.
