Manchester. Opponents Didsbury Greys
Another one of those away days

Didsbury press as traffic light turns green
Charging on like a well-oiled machine

Carlisle hold on, tackles are mint
Releasing forwards onward to sprint

Defence is breached! Home team tickled pink
Rachel responds,Didsbury hearts sink

Pace warming up, faces turn scarlet
Becomes a battle as both seek target

Carlisle counter with speed of a jet
Katie plants the ball into home net

This shocks Didsbury but not long feel blue
Within a minute shoot well and true

Early second half Katie quicksilver
Breaks through but a goal cannot pilfer

Duly warned Didsbury surge for gold
Carlisle scrambling refusing to fold

Pressure tells Didsbury score with a peach
Look to put game beyond Carlisle’s reach

Carlisle stubborn, danger signs are red
Hope still there home team barely ahead

With hints of sweat on the shirts of white
Carlisle were overpowered in this fight

Two late goals turn the mood indigo
‘til the next time Didsbury cheerio!
